So this afternoon coming home from work I noticed my main belt was making that embarrassing "Eeeeeeeeeech" that a belt makes to remind you that your broke and need to change it. When I got home, popped the hood, I found that theres Antifreeze leaking on the belt itself from somewhere, and when it hits the tensioner, the belt it self is going all over the place and thats whats causing the sound. I didnt really have time to jack it up and do a thorough inspection but the water is not coming from the radiator hose or overflow reservoir. I did notice a bit of water below the supercharger on the LIM but some of that was left-over supercharger oil I couldnt get up. The main area looks like its coming from is to the right of the water pump. That area is nicely wet. Water pump gasket maybe? Anyone else experienced this?

It could be you water pump going out and its sending the water out of the WEP hole that is on the bottom the the water pump

Coolant elbows? I had a cracked elbow and it made coolant sit right under the super charger snout

Polished Gen V, 3.1 mps, intercooled, S1X cam, northstar tb, and Tim King built trans with 3.29s and all the good stuff

Either the elbows or the wep hole on the water pump. OR the heater hoses that come from the fire wall

    Update...

So after removing the alternator and coolant reservoir to get a better view, the leak is coming from behind the water pump pulley. The WEP hole? I read that if its coming out of there, its a warning message to immediately change your water pump because the seals have gone bad. I changed the coolant elbows because I might as well while im there. It couldnt be too hard to change a water pump, ive done it on small block V8's. Anything special I should note before heading out and picking one up for swap?

the wep hole is under the water pump snout, if you have a mirror look up behind the pulley thats where the wep hole is, if it wet and or rusty looking thats the problem, when the coolant hits the belts it gets slung all over the place.

Ok, replaced the water pump, coolant elbows, even threw in a new supercharger coupler while I was down there. Hooked it all back up, got the belts tight, hooked up the battery and now... It just turns over, no spark. I ALMOST got a spark once or twice but then it just kept turning over and over... I dont get it. I hooked up and triple checked everything that could have possibly gotten disconnected and cant find anything thats not connected.

    Any ideas?

No it is not hard at all, the new one should come with a new gasket and the pump prob has like a $10 core.

Still no spark, swapped relays, checked EVERY fuse over and over. I know its not the Fuel Pump because the smell of gasoline is quite pungent out of the exhaust. Got the ICM checked, its good. Changed out Coil Packs, there good. Went over it again to see if somethings disconnected, nothing is to my knowledge, unless theres some super hidden wire somewhere that I dont know about. Its really hard to diagnose an electrical problem when the only thing I disconnected was the wires to the Alternator and the battery terminals. And so it sits. Its dinner time with the girl, she'll be driving :P

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Update,

I tried the good ole hold-the-two-ends-of-the-battery together trick and it worked. I had no idea that such a simple fix would solve my problems. Something about security disables spark but lets the engine turn over I guess. ] Ill have to remember this if/when I change my water pump again...
