So on my 98 GTP, my buddy and I did the lower intake gaskets today and we replaced all the gaskets along with the T-start and we cleaned the throttle body. We put it back together and everything went slow but okay the only thing we really ran into is that there is this black piece ontop of the supercharger thats circular that has 3 nipples coming out of it and one of them broke off. We couldn't get it back together and my buddy thinks its a vaccum of some sort. We followed the line it ran to the passenger side wheel well and then ended right below the fuse Box and we have no idea where it could go, or do. So we started it up everything connected and in place we had the bad line taped just for a temporarly fix and it started , sounded like it had a a cam we cut the engine did it again and it knocked a little, not like a true knock but a light ticking noise so we pluggged up the bad line right at the start of it and started it again and same thing. So any ideas what this could be?

Thank you in advnaced, I know this is long and thank you for reading this if you did, I just really need to get my car running back to normal.

that would be the BBV, and you broke it, and its part of the car major vacuum lines. It will run very lean and may not run at all. You need to replace that.

What would that look like? And where would it be located?

Ok.. it's not the BBV, because first ...we don't have one, secondly that middle port goes to the vacuum canister. It heads below the fuse box, then heads across the front of the car to the driverside fender where the canister is located.

You need that vacuum manifold (what it's called). Til you get it, plug that hole.

On the cammed sound. Please recheck your plug wires, two are on the wrong cylinders. Don't ask how many times I've done it, to know what to check..just laugh and go check yours. It's an easy fix.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
