want to fill my silencers in the supercharger. can anyone show me detailed instructions and show me a pic of what to fill and what to fill it with

Rough up the slits with a file. Spry with brake clean. Then use aluminum epoxy to fill them in. Then sand it down. There are tons of pics on here of them just do a search and you will find them.

dont do it, not worth the effort. im not trying to joke around here, it just isnt. the blower whine gets marginally louder, but for the risk youre taking by having the potential of something falling out for your motor to chew up isnt worth it.
just, trust me here. but, if you must here is what mine looks like:
all of that is an aluminum epoxy that i picked up off the counter at napa. as far as i can tell its still holding up in my blower. its been there for about six months already of beating on it.

If you do go that rout be careful of two things. The case getting to hot and warping and excess aluminum on the turbine side of the case. Its easier to sand/ scotch brite epoxy, you would need a Dremel to grind down excess aluminum if welded.

Thank goodness. I think the sound would be cool but it's not worth what could happen if the epoxy came loose. Instant Grenade FTMFL!!!

Youre going to be running an i/c so its up to you. Ive been running for months with no ill effect also.
I know of a buddy that did it. He said the difference was very minimal.
I didn't do it and don't need to... I'm trying to be quiet, not loud..lol
I think the main benefit is when you port the hell out of it then get a cold air intake.
I am doing mine when I port and polish my M90. I am not using epoxy thought... I have another idea that i will explore first. It will be much safer, if it works. I am not a fan of being quiet. Not to mention that it does increase the efficiency of the blower, even if a small amount. I will take some pix as my project progresses. This is a very popular mod, especially on the SVT forums, and not that I am giving ANY credit to ford drivers in any way, but they do push A LOT more power than we do with no problems with the plugged ports. But it is to each their own, so if you feel comfortable then go for it, if not, then dont. :-)
those slots allow a little bit of bleedback to the backside of the rotors and lets the air circulate. not the best design for efficiency, but it keeps them quieter since this is a family car.
the sound and efficiency boost are barely noticeable. the only time its louder is part throttle and i never really noticed an increase in boost until i started spraying meth. ill say it again that its a waste of time.
LoL It increases the efficency. When boosted pressure leaks through the ports it creates drag on the rotors. The only thing the ports do is cancel out the sound waves when the forced air goes supersonic while in boost. Sence the air would only be getting compressed once, it lowers the incoming temp. This is coming form an Eaton Engeneer that i read. So dont think I am making this up or i think I know it all, cense I dont. LoL I read up on the topic, I sent an email to eaton and go this info as an answer. They said that there are a few benefits, but there is also risk, and its up to the owner to decide for themselves.
I'd be willing to bet my car is louder than yours...even with you blocking the ports.
My point here, is sooner or later you'll be on a non-frisbee sized pulley with quite a few mods wondering.... "Why is my car this loud?"

And my personal favorite..I got a ticket for left on a yellow after the cop heard the charger. Probably thought it was tires.
Yes it does increase efficency and it will increase the whine. Their is a reason aftermarket s/c's don't have these silencer holes. They were put their to keep the noise down because its a 4 door family car. However.. will you notice the efficency? NO Will their be more whine? A little. Is it really worth the risk of having chunks of quick steel or whatever epoxy you use getting sucked into the engine? I dont think so. Ported s/c and teenie wheenie pully if you want that s/c to scream
