great help. my buddy has the supercharger because he was gonna weld the silencers for me as he is a master union welder but we decided just to prot so as soon as it comes back im gonna buy like 20 bits for my dremel and go to town. thanks everyone
I did not take the time to sit here and read this 3 page long Thread on how to fill the silecner slits because IMO it's about pointless. Is there a gain. I'm sure there is. Is it a huge gain, that's even worth the work. I doubt there's hardly any gain. I've heard a few blowers with the silencers filled. One was a gen 5 blower that was runnin a 2.7 pulley. Befor and after. The blower's tone did not change one bit. You should see what that epoxy looks like when it comes apart and trys to pass it's self in a i\c core. Good thing the core was there. Because I'm sure somthing would of went south rather quickly on that bottom end.
Take it how you want. I just wouldnt waste my time on it. You want some blower whine. Go buy a whipple, and make it work. Or be happy with what whine you have.

God
Damn
Right.
Don't waste your motor Douglas, I'm telling you it isn't worth the trouble. If you want more whine have Reptile port your supercharger and then get enough mods for a smaller pulley.
Ive already offered to port his supercharger. He was a go for it then decided not to. The supercharger whine is exponentially increased at low boost levels with filled in slots, thats it. At 2 psi, i have full throttle whine out of the m90, good when your just barely on it and you're passing someone. Do what you want, its your supercharger, but keep in mind that the core of the intercooler would stop it even if you did mess up on the epoxy job.
no...thanks for the input but im just gonna port everything to match the intercooler. this winter we r planning a monster motor build so we will see about a smaller pulley then.
I agree the intercooler core will stop it with out a doubt, But anyone ever see the nicely bent up fins all over the core when that o so amazing epoxy lets go. I seen it 1st on on my freinds gen 5 i\c. I'm glad it didnt belong to me or I would of been kicking my own ass. The epoxy was no where to be found so all we could think of is it might of some how made it into the rotors of the blower and got worked over enough in there to be fine enough to get passed though the intercooler and so on. It messed up the teflon on the blower, and scrathed up the blower housing, bent the fins on the core to hell. Thats enough to make me push people away from doing it.Ive already offered to port his supercharger. He was a go for it then decided not to. nice! im guessing you caught that then. lol actually my car went in for new tranny and the shop had my car fall of the lift. bent frame and everything so had to get that all fixed first so not entirely the 70 day wait but that did play a factor. besides i love doing all i can by myself (with you guys input and knowledge of course) and im really looking forward to trying it myself.
That was not the case at all. I offered him a killer deal, he refused, not my fault. That had nothing to do with the wait what so ever.
Bluegtp91,
I disregard everything you say as you have proven to me time and time again you have no actual experience with working on these cars other than running your mouth and talking information given to you, not coming from you. Please stop interjecting your non factual statements in good threads. Thank you.
Thanks for being a hypocrite to. I'm stating nothing more than what was said in other threads and what was said BY YOUR CUSTOMERS. In fact it DID take you more than 70 days to get him the intercooler...in fact...does he even have it yet? Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he didn't. Don't get your panties in a bunch because you don't like seeing the truth in black and white.
And Douglas...just hog out the "V"...that will give you lower outlet temps, lowered KR levels, which means more power...and a louder blower![]()
Doug... check out my thread here and will give you an idea of what to do better than the older thread of blower porting i had.

okY....how much hogging do i do. i need specifics as i am afraid to go too far
Can you not read? Lol i put the link to my post where i clearly showed pics of the machined outlet.
i think i can read. a little slow but i get there everntually. hell took me months to finish all my harry potter books.i guess i must rephrase my question. anyone got MEASUREMENTS , u know like with a ruler or tape measure, u know...numbers not words, so i dont go too far.
I will attempt to satisfy your questions to the point where no future questions are needed, however i will do so on the correct thread. Please refer there.
wow im so glad i read this thread cause im graduating from a gt to a gtp next month. personally i dont like the sound of a sc, i like the sound of a turbo more. it reminds me of a fwd version of the grand national.
Thread is kinda old but....
Believe it or not.... filling the ports only makes it louder at part throttle.
WOT whine is the same.
And its just another thing that can potentially fail and destroy your engine.
