I've just had much better luck with them sealing. Both on IC and non IC applications. And if you're careful you can reuse them as well. It seems that they can hold up on the edges where some people trim too much whereas a Gen3 gasket will either get sucked into the intake or blown out when you start pushing around 13psi of pressure.
Some people may disagree....but I like to use the best stuff I can. Same goes with all the other things I build. Even the gaskets I use on the front cover are the same style.
