Ok so i pulled all my plugs and they all looked good but i decided to swap em out with a set of colder plugs i had and noise is gone and no i didn't have any performance issues, when you have KR can you actually hear a difference. But i am gonna go with a full size and prolly smaller pulley... eventually

Just got back from the track, I ran a 14.7 and am kinda disappointed, I did however beat a 2000 gt mustang that was all gutted, a 07 sti, and a pos crx lol dont know what they all had done to em. But my noise is back now, should i just pull the motor tear it back down and check out the bottom end or just run it till it blows and get a new block?

So...you had a tapping noise and went to the drag strip?

What are you exact mods? Any knock? Have a tune? Kinda hard to diagnose over the internet with little to no info there.

All my mods are listed in my first post but here they are again. cnc ported heads with 105# valve springs, machined lower intake manifold then i ported and polished it, and also machined and ported my supercharger, 3.4 pulley, and zzp pcm, no custom tune tho speed daddy headers with a 3in dp ubend delete, no cat but a o2 sim and a short autozone intake.
I dont really know how to tell if I have knock it usually runs really smooth.
And i went to the drag strip cuz the noise went away after i changed out all my plugs and my friends really wanted me to go and run my car i was really nervous, then i was like eh if it blows it blows lol not too smart I know

Can you take a video of the noise? im pretty sure your rockers are too tight or too loose in some places.

and yes theres 2 ways to set rockers, 1 with the car off and 1 with the car on. How ever with the way the motors sit in grand prix i think you will be forced to do it with the car off.

get a vid it will help greatly also for mods once you get this sorted out u shouldnt down size pully just do the cam or ic but run more timing also with your setup you should be running faster the 14.7 that seems sorta slow so u must have knock or somthing is wrong

+1 get a video up, and yeah get your buddy to scan it with you. No more track runs untill you figure out the knock otherwise you will be doing it all over again.

Is it more of a ticking noise? or a knock and is it fast paced or slow.
