Hey all, doing a Gen V top swap on my Impala very soon (L36 bottom end).... this seems like the best bang for the buck to me as gaskets go. Agreed?

Already got plenty of black RTV for the LIM corners, am I missing any gaskets?

looks good but id order head bolts too. not sure if others have reused them i wouldnt anyways. maybe some exhaust manifold bolts too exhaust bolts are a pain to reuse.
How I treat my car: wreck, fix, repeat.

Definitely getting new head bolts, didn't see a full gasket kit that included them, though. Already have newer exhaust bolts from SD headers.

if you are doing a gen 5 swap, you are going to need a gen 5 supercharger gasket, not a gen 3 like that one is.

you can do better then that felpro listing. its got more un needed stuff, and missing a lot of what you do need.

look up a lower convertion kit, buy head gaskets and lim gaskets a tb and sc gasket and your done. gen 5 you can rtv it on if you like, the metal gasket is like 40 bucks.

full gaskets, head bolts with oil and coolant ran me right around 200.

uuuhhh.... check the listing again? Clearly shows a metal S/C gasket (unless the photo is incorrect), afaik the gen 3 never had a factory metal gasket replacement, only paper.

Okay, I'll look into piecing together. The Fel-Pro head gaskets seem a lot more common around the auto parts stores, but should I spring for OEM head gasket? I've heard rumors about rumors about sealing issues with the Fel-Pro ones, but no evidence.

I've always had good luck with the Fel-pro metal LIM gaskets, though.

i got everything from advance auto on line, all but the lim gaskets, i got the magnum kit from ra for 40 shipped. that lim kit comes with more stuff then any other lim kit. they work just fine. look just like the acdelco ones.

my fel-pro head gaskets have worked fine with my xp cam, ported heads and until a few months ago a full size intercooler. probably made about 350 hp. I did use head studs, but that shouldn't make much difference for the sealing of the head gaskets.
