That....really makes no sense to me. I mean really it doesn't.
95% of the time the engine isn't going to be running WOT, and you know he's going to try and get away with using as small of a pulley as he can, especially if he's running a higher compression. You can ask any engine guy, and he'll tell you that heads are probably the most important part to pay attention to. They're important in fuel delivery, atomization, and getting rid of the exhaust.
It sure as heck can't hurt, that's all I'm saying.
