So My low coolant light was on for forever and I finally got around to replacing the sensor. I put a brand new sensor in, I topped off the coolant in the radiator and everything was fine for about 5 minutes. I drove around and the low coolant light would come on every once in a while. Usually under braking or going over bumps. I popped the cap off the radiator and it was full but the light came on for a bit even while I was looking right at the full radiator. Is there something Im missing here?

Did you bleed the cooling system after installing the new sensor? Might have some air trapped in the system tripping the light occasionally.

Im not really too sure about the coolant fill procedure and if what I did counts as bleeding it. What I did was I ran it for a few minutes till it was warm and opened the little valve on top of the thermostat housing till a small stream of coolant was coming out. There werent any bubbles it was a continuous stream and the coolant was to the brim of the radiator. (The cap was off so I could see it. I tried it with the heater on and off. Kept the coolant topped off in the radiator while the little valve had a stream running out. Anything else I need to do?

Is there a good connection? Did the terminal click into place? Check the wiring to see if it's good.

Nope. Sounds like you got it bled out just fine! Might just be electrical. Maybe check the harness and see if its rubbed through anywhere grounding out?
