I've heard the ones off 3800 Performance (DHP) ones are good. I'd still get a custom street or dyno tune though.

Avoid ZZP PCMs at all cost. They damage everything.

^^ XD I've heard some bad **** about their Shelf PCMs..

You could also try Overkill PCMs, he does a pretty decent job.

It's a good start, but nothing compared to a good custom tune.

my zzp tune was fine. Infact Id say no one can match there trans tunes. My trans lasted a very long time on alot of track pass's and beatings. These trannys live or die by the tunes

My Vote goes to zzp, they do killer work. But pick what ever you want. They are pretty much all the same basic tune. But finding a good 3800 tuner in your area would leave your car much better off then with a "mail tune".

No no no no no no! ask bluegtp about zzp. they blow up engines and trannys and turn the ses light circuit off.. when it comes to parts they are the best.. when it comes to tunes they are the worst unless your getting a dyno. canned tune =

no zzp pcm is the same, They seem to be setup to command more timing with lean 02's.

get a street tune by someone who's familiar with tuning the 3800.

Listen, some people have great luck with ZZP tunes.

    SDGTP's toasted his motor.

I had FIVE of them...all bad PCM's and ended up frying mine too.

Be safe about it...and either have a custom tuned PCM tailored for your car OR buy a DHP from 3800 Performance.

pick whichever you feel most comfortable. the only one ill solidly recommend to people is a DHP PCM from 3800performance. however, they are all nearly identical to one another in how they are set up: GENERAL TUNE. none of them will be perfect or spot on for anyones car unless youre about to win the lottery lucky.

what not to believe. I've heard of a few people that have had ****ed up tc lockup tables, so the trans would never go into lockup, that will heat the trans up real quick, that plus warm weather, your temps would go beyond safe, think of it as cooking the trans in its own fluid.

I mean really, its not that hard to burn a trans up with a bad tune, there's a lot of different parameters in the pcm for just transmission alone to **** up.

ZZP doesn't f*ck up peoples cars, people f*ck up peoples cars enough said. I've been on ZZP PCM for plenty long enough to f*ck up with no said problems. Don't generalize a companies reputation because a small percentage have had issues. Especially when the issues are probably directly related to people beating the piss out of their cars.

No ones gonna argue about a Custom tune Vs canned tune. My ZZP tune was very good. Infact I ran that tune untill I went into the 3.6 pulley range. Then I purchased HPT and tuned myself from there down

the past 2 cars that ive pulled tunes on, one was a regal gs the other was a gtp. Both zzp pcm's, both knocking more than 6*, both way different. When i was looking through them, they weren't the most well thought out canned tunes. I'm not singling them out, the intense pcm i had in my car was pretty ****ty but, safe enough to get by on, even with my L32/67 top end.

when you buy an over the counter tune, its pot luck, hit or miss, go or blow, lean and mean or fat and shat.

In 2004/2005 intense tunes killed many many many engines lol. Mine had less then a degree of KR on the 3.6 pulley. But yeah every cars different. Thats what makes a custom tune the better option
