Even my overkill pcm wasn't perfect.
you want a good tune? learn or have someone street/dyno tune it that's familiar with the platform.

I am extremely satisfied with Will's work form Overkille Motorsports....DHP, Intense, 3800 are great brand too I heard but avoid ZZP, tons of users on here had problems with those. A custom tune is your best bet though!
PM Reptile! He can hook you up! He does custom tunes.
I'll just say it again.
DHP for mail order...nothing else. Only PCM in the entire existence of the tuning world for the 3800 that hasn't had any issues.
Not saying Overkill is a BAD choice...Will is a stand up guy for sure.
I'm just stating that the DHP has been around for what...10 years now? And is tried and true for anyone doubting a mail order tune.
3800 Performance - high performance aftermarket car parts for your Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Impala, Regal, Bonneville, and V6 F-body!!
DHP itself as a company is out of business but the owner of 3800Performance lived less than 20 minutes from DHP's home base...and he still does the tunes from the file they used back when.
Thanks for the info!
No problem brah
No need to get all butt hurt over my smiple comment. The guy asked and I answered with what's worked the best for myself and about 12 other local's that I've delt with. Simple as that. I've yet to see a screwed up box tune from zzp with my own eyes. But I'm more then sure it's happened. When you deal with anything related to the automotive world and with people tryng to push a automobile past what it was deisgend to do. Thing's will go south as we all know, it's all part of the game of modding. If someone is going to get pissed about their car breaking then maybe it should of just been left alone and untouched. Pretty smiple really...
I had Tim at zzp build me a quick base tune last firday for my freinds xpz'ed car that I just finshed doing the build on last weekend. Fired it up last Saturday and got some mile's on it. Thing pull's 27 mpg on the highway, and just did a base line dyno with nothing touched on the base tune from Tim and it made 307 whp on a 3.25 pulley and mainfolds. I'd say a pretty good job was done on the base tune with nothing more to tune it then the info I told them. In the last 8 year's I've been in the w-body world everyone has sold a crap tune to someone. With that being said Buy whatever pcm you want, they all do the same thing at the end of the day.
I know it is off topic...but why the name change Vic?
canned tunes = brute garbage can
custom tune for your ambient temps, sea level etc = win x infinity
