$9 for an iridium AC delco in canada.
definately got ripped off.
I've got NGK TR55's. They smoothed out hard acceleration.
I have Bosch in mine, yes yell at me tell me I'm dumb! But I don't have a check engine light and I like them so I don't care. Next year when I change again I'll probably give Autolites a shot since they're cheaper and seem to be everybody's favorite with these cars.
"changing plugs the first time is a pain in the ass"
I'm getting to old I suppose. I couldn't get the heat shields off the rear plugs and I gave up. Front are easy with pliers. I had to ask a friend to come over and try this on the morrow.
So i changed my plugs last week with the help of a friend. Im 6'3 and he is like 4' something. His hands reached the rear with ease but other than that the plugs were relatively super easy to change and took about 20 minutes to do. I gaped all 6 of them at .55 and the car runs great. I will be doing them myself from now on.
I took the advice of you guys here.
My stock 3.8l hates the Autolite 606's
I set the gap as suggested by to .60
It is gassy now and it wasn't before. Mileage is a little worst than before. It sputters bad around 45mph.
My Stock plugs did not look worn at all even at 70k.
Going to put them back and clean my Maf sensor.
Probably don't have a wire on right
I've been running the autolites, but has anyone heard of any issues with the irridiums and platinums? Mechanic I bought the GTP from said to only run copper plugs in the supercharged engine. He said the iridiums and platinums foul too easy cause of the less surface area. In my Honda 4 cyl though, I run the Iridiums.
how often should 104's be changed?
10k...ish. Depends. I change my plugs every 2 oil changes...I run AL103R's.
