What is the issue with ethanol fuel? Is it only a problem in SC cars? We have few stations (only one that I know) that sell 100% gasoline and not mixed with 10% ethanol.

Ethanol has less energy per a given volume, so the car might not run as hard on an ethanol mix. I know that E10 drains about 3MPG on the highway on my car as opposed to running 100% gasoline.

Actually, it leans out your fuel mixture a little, the car will correct for this in closed loop, but when running WOT you actually are running leaner than commanded.

    Really?

The owners manual and even the fuel door tell you what grade of fuel to run.
