Really? Didn't I already point out that plugs ought to be pulled when there is an indication of poor engine performance? Like, say... DECREASED GAS MILEAGE?
Frankly, re-gapping your spark plugs once every FIVE YEARS is not what I'd consider "pulling the plugs every so often," just to look at them.
I couldn't figure out a way to explain how you're not going to destroy an engine with a big chunk of copper bouncing through it after pre-detonation, except vaporization. My bad.
