    Meaning unless your transmission blows wang...or your in Neutral...your going to be increasing your speed...even if it is at a non-noticeable rate.

    agreed, but the way he said it, speed & RPMs are directly related. Maybe it's more correct to say acceleration and RPMs are related, atleast moreso than speed (velocity) and RPMs are.
