    Hey everyone,

I am having a problem where when I'm driving down the road my ABS and check tire pressure light come on randomly. The only thing I notice that it is making my car do is the steering gets stiff when turning. It goes off though after I turn the car off but when i start driving again it comes back on it used to do this a year or so ago and quit, but now its doing it again. What could be the problem? and yes i know this is in the engine thread but no one was answering it in the brakes thread

You've gotta wait more than 2 hrs for an answer. Its more than likely a bad wheel speed sensor in one of the hubs, have a shop scan the abs codes and that will lead you in the right direction.

I had the same problem except it was the ABS and TCS OFF lights. Replacing both front hubs fixed it.

Also check out the level in your power steering fluid reservoir since you felt the PS get stiff. It's below the alternator next to the bottom of the coolant overflow tank. Remove that tank to easily access the PS reservoir.

The power steering pump on my car is in the same place but the coolant overflow is by my PCM and air intake. I will check the hubs if it's them I'm going to be pissed. I have replaced them for different reasons at least 8-9 times!
