I have been looking high and low for a quality replacement radiator for '98 GTP. I installed a new GM water pump, bled the system but still my temp gauge fluctuates. The car does not overheat and has been flushed two years ago and recently due to the LIM and water pump replacements.

A new GM rad is about $400.00, advance auto sells dephi for $189.00 (OE replacement) and O'reilly sells Murray-radiator ($226)....I would rather spend a bit more for a quality radiator but certainly not $400.00 for the GM rad. I plan to also replace the thermostat and two hoses. This should do it as far as the cooling system is concerned.

Any thoughts about a replacement radiator? I am willing to spend b/n $200-300...

You'd only be paying more for the GM name. Any brand OEM replacement radiator should work just fine.

My car seems to be working well since I had the LIM and water pump replaced. I was able to minimize the temperature gauge fluctuations by replacing both the CTS and thermostat...Perhaps I do not need to change the radiator. I have never had any issue with it. Never overheated and always serviced regularly. Perhaps I should change it any?...
