Nope, what we are all pretty much saying is that if you don't put two identical setups with the two different cams on dyno's side by side.. you won't be able to tell power wise. They are that close.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    ^^Pretty much.

My car is actually louder at cruise and idle with the full catback...my no muffler dumped setup is only louder at WOT.

the cam is what makes the lope, but your exhaust is what either muffles it or not in order to make it audible.

You can get any sound you want out of stock heads.. Lift does nothing for sound.

Smaller the LSA # (Lobe Separation) the choppier the cam. Hence why the NIC cam is a rough mafaker...I think its 112. Mine is a 114, and the XP/S1X IIRC are 115 or 116.

The differences in the XP and S1X are very minimal. The decision is up to you...there is TONS of feedback in this thread I think your over looking. Both the S1X and the XP will require a new timing chain and dampner. You'll need a cam install kit from ZZP unless you can outsource all the gaskets and crap cheaper somewhere else. New oil/oil filter/coolant, etc. The basics. Springs/Retainers...I went with #90 LS6 springs/retainers...but they are a bit on the rougher side...in almost 45K when the motor got pulled the dampner was almost chewed up. 105's are on the easier side of things, hence why people go with them more, IMO...that and they are just more common. I had nothing but good things from my XP setup...I'd say get it...tried and true.

yea i am for sure gettin a new timing chain and dampner lol no problem, and i have new 105 springs and retainers. i may get a stronger timing chain than stock also tho lol. if i get a used set of heads than i am going with the 1s3 cam... if not than i am most likely goin with the xp
