I have money for one or the other, so I'm wondering what thoughts were out there. Should I spend the money on a Plog first or a 3"bolt in downpipe? Which would benefit the car more right away. Thanks!

Since both cost about the same i would personally get the dp first cuz you eliminate the u bend its bolt in and it opens up the neck all of which your butt dyno will definately feel. If you have the money obviously headers but it sounds like your only have around a hundred so definitely Bolt in downpipe for sure. I dunno why everyone says speed daddy headers cuz honestly id go with ssac headers that everyone knows works. Obviously it is more money (350) and yes the speed daddy are supposed to copy cat them but if you had the money for the PITA it is to install the them i think the extra money is worth it for the ss autochrome. My buddy bought speed daddy headers about three months ago and it was horrible fitment. We had to heat up the front header and bend it to align it up as well as the rear. The rear hit the tunnel and still does with sledge hammer mod and bending. Plus the crossover pipe doesnt seal worth a crap. So i dunno how many members on here have actually used speed daddy buy imo they are JUNK!

false theyre the same exact thing. there was a bad bunch that came out, sounds like your buddy mustve got them. i ran sd headers on my last car for a few months with no problems. OP save your money and get the headers since it seems you are so anxious to drop your pulleys. take it off.

Speed Daddy headers all the way. I had a 3" DP in mine, and yes, the butt dyno approved, but it cost me over $100dollars..

Headers are just over $200, and flow WAY WAY better.

If you get new clamps and some RTV (like 30bucks total) they seal perfect the first time. Also, mine fit together great, did have to squeeze the Crossover a little but nothing terrible at all. Been leak free for comming up on 9months now.

There are install write-ups also on this site, and it takes about 3-6hours depending on your skill level.

I have speed daddy's. No seal issues as long as you use band clamps and copper RTV. Everything fit together fine for me.02 hitting firewall sucked but they are well worth the price

So this bad batch has been confirmed? We had a lift and torches and welder and did the best we could. Speed daddy wouldnt do anything for us at all about the issue. I'm all for ebay headers i have some on my ta that work great. Just the speed daddy kinda burned me for the gtp headers. Another buddy has the xtune ones from last year i think it was and they were great so we figured the speed daddy where the same but were very wrong with the set we recieved.

    Heres a short summary:

    SD released SSAC knockoffs.

    Good reviews.

Bait and switch for OBX heads, they're ****, dont work.

Complaints happened, SD re-released the SSAC knockoffs.

In the end..... SD = SSAC which sorta equal SLP.

So you will find you will need to trim the rear part of the crossover to get it to fit and then it'll be okay. Nothing big for $205 to your door + $50 for Napa band clamps and some copper RTV.

Ze PLOG isn't the greatest solution because people have issues with them cracking.

Just on the old gen ones. They fixed 'em after they went to the SS PLOG.

Yup those are the correct ones.

$270 to your door canada style, 205 US style.

BUT..... make sure you find the cheaper ones, they post some at a high price and some at a low price.

eBay Canada Seller: speed daddy: gtp headers, Automotive on eBay.ca at low prices

The ones you posted seem to be the best deal for canadians ATM.

For US ppl.... 205 shipped is all you should be paying.
