If i add 1.9 rockers to my 2000 grand prix gtp what effects will it have on economy and various other things like that? thanks!!

i got em and still get great mileage.. also dep. on how much more you romp on it after installing em.
where in MA you from? im originally from Lawrence![]()
You'll need a custom tune to benefit fully from the added rocker ratio. Get flow mods to let your car breathe better too and you'll get even better MPG's.
Rockers + Headers + Tune = 30mpg easily if your keep your foot out of it.
I got tons of mods...and I was getting 31 mpg's last night and I'm not even tuned...so hah. I got a big cam/heads
damn, I only get around 22 and I'm tuned with headers, a 3.6 genV, and a hot air intake. I've got a set of 1.9's I'm waiting on valvesprings to put on.
a majority of my driving is 10 minute trips to work with a few stop signs and lights along the way though.
if you use the gas at all... dont ever expect to see 30 MPG.
do you need to change the springs with SLP's 1.8 rocker?
No, you can run up to 1.84 on the stock springs. Ppl have run stock with modded 1.9's though, just don't up the shift points.
up them to what? mines at 5500.
You should at least have them at 5800. No shift points over 6k if your running stock springs.
