Hey, brand new here -- my low oil level light was off and on for about 3 weeks on my 1999 GTP S/C. Still had about 45% on my oil life left according to the dash. Then the oil warning light came on last night and I started hearing a knocking coming from the engine while driving home. I stopped at a light and the car sputtered and died. It started right back up and I made it home. I check the oil this morning, it was low. Added some oil. I left for work today -- all was good. until I got to the highway and I started hearing the knocking again. Then the oil warning light came on for a few minutes and then went off. I got to work, check the oil -- low again. I put some more oil in and it's held for now, but am still hearing that knocking sound when I rev the engine...I'm going to take her to the shop tomorrow, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
