I just made me a sweet new open cone intact (thanks Nawarkk for the how to write up) and because I'm a cheap bastard I don't want to cut up the airbox for the pcm tray like he mentioned. Right now the pcm is just hanging out on the metal shelf and I've heard that people just zip tie it down and call it a day. Two questions though:

    1. What exactly am I tying it to? The shelf itself using a big ass ziptie?

    2. What would happen if I just left it sitting on the shelf with no zip or other tie down? It doesn't really look like it has any place to go.

I have not looked at the write up about the intake, but depending on where your tubing is routed and such there are holes drilled in the metal in the engine bay where the old air box used to live. I just kind of used the existing holes and zipped tied it around like a circle. But, it doesnt have much room to move you are correct, i do concur with your observation. Although being the way i am--it got old looking and ugly after a while. Just make a tray out of sheet metal and mount it inside so it doesnt jiggle around. There are many options but those are two of the easiest.
