Would an L36 Throttle be able to work on a L67 and run right when doing an engine swap?
the throttle body will fit yes, both the 3 bolt i believe. but not sure if they are the same size
Agreed that they're not really expensive, but I just want to throw in that I know a guy running an SSM90 top swap with a portet L36 TB running 12.5's. He was one of the pilot test cars for the SSM90 setup for Zoomer when they were considering making it. Dan Schmidt if you want to check his car out on ZZP's site under Customer's cars.
So to answer the question, yes it is possible, and it shouldn't provide any real detriment to your setup if you need to run an L36 TB for some reason.
yes it would work but why would you want to the l36 tb inlet is smaller just get a l67 tb and do it right u can get one cheap listen to bio
Some of the people running an L36 TB with the SSM90 kit have problems on a cold start. Using an L67 TB seems to fix it.
If you're trying to save tuning, don't bother. Too much other stuff needs changed.
And Ron Vogel ran 13.1s on ported exhaust manifolds and a 2.8" pulley. Just because it can be done doesn't mean that it should. If it's a ZZP ported TB, it's been bored out with a bigger throttle plate, too, so it's not really a fair comparison.

Thanks guys. Its juts that i recently had an engine swap from an l36 to a l67 2004 impala ss engine/tranny. Receive the car tuesday from the shop and they told me they used my old l36 throttle because they could not locate an l67 throttle in time. I seen a gtp at the junkyard last week with the complete engine still in tact. Would that gtp throttle work well with my impala? Thanks again.
I assume you're using the L67 computer, did the shop tune it for the L36 TB? If not, the thing is going to run like crap, since the MAF calibration would be different. You can't just switch back and forth without changing the calibration.
All 99+ L67 TBs were the same AFAIK, no matter what car they came out of.
