ok did a few more runs, paying attention to timing, and i also had it displaying throttle percent as well, (i probably should have documented the KR as well, but i had the lights set to come on if it went over 4* kr, and they never came on, so it stayed under 4 at least) heres what it did:
at idle(not moving)
in reverse it stabilizes at 27, same with putting it in Drive.
Park and Neutral, stabilizes at 22.
accelerating: (my wife was riding along, had her write down what gear, throttle percent, and speed. shoulda done rpms to, but i was doing it quickly, cuz i cant ever remember numbers lol)
in 4th gear, at 50 mph, 5% throttle, basically just to keep speed, timing was anywhere from 30-35ish*.
3rd at 35mph, 5%, around 40ish* timing
2nd at 25, at 24% throttle, it displayed 21* timing
obvisouly when i get on it alittle, it starts to go down, then when i completely let off, it shoots up to around 40ish, then goes down to 25 and stays there while coasting, until i get back on the gas.
i did ONE WOT run, let off when i got to 60 tho, it dropped somewhat quickly to 14* timing, right when it shifted to 2nd, it dropped below 10* for a second, then went back to 14*.
so general sum up, when at light throttle, say less then 10%, just to keep speed. it goes above 30*, usually around 35*, when more then 15%, actually accelerating somewhat, it goes below 20*, (at one point under light throttle, it dropped below 2* while shifting) when i just coast along, not giving any gas, it stays at 25%
also, first time i ever noticed this, i was goin up a slight hill keeping it at 45mph, and it chugged a tiny bit. barely noticed it, but its never happened before. boost gauge said i think like 8 vac, i dont remember what timing was, but it was less the 20% throttle.
i have decided to at least to the modified zzp rockers, just dont know when i can get them. would that and the ported case keep kr lower? and is that timing action i monitored pretty normal?
