Thoughts? I know its just a bunch of emissions crap and figured since I was doing everything else known to man on this car this time around why not? Seen it done a few times on 60* V6 and a bunch on LS1tech but has anyone done it on a 3800? Do you just cap the TB and the other end? I know you'd have to set the solenoid codes and what not to no report in the PCM but is there any benefit to getting rid of it minus the cleaner looking engine bay and less emissions junk?

I took mine off, put a vacuum cap on the tb port, and then just cut the line coming from the charcoal canister.

I've already relocated the cruise and comtemplating getting rid of the ABS too...I HATE anti-lock brakes...but I'm pretty sure I'd have to open up the system to plug the lines...but I haven't gotten there yet. Plus all of those sensors on the drivers side strut tower have been unloomed and moved down behind the ABS bracket as of now too. Planning on mounting the Meth pump in their place...it should look pretty clean IMO. as for the EVAP...same reason of everything else...cleaner look and like posted in that delete thread...less crap I have to worry about and it'll help with the tuning too.

As I said in the other thread, I did it as preventative maintenance. Tracking down EVAP problems sucks.

I just got tired of taking it off everytime I had the engine apart, so it went the way of the needed brackets and egr valve. Nick I was going to put my meth pump there on the fender also, but then got lazy and did not want to move all the wiring on the fender then again, it probally would have been easier than running the lines to the trunk.

Wel I just hate that line running from the front of my LS1 setup to the solenoid...plus it looks like crap IMO. I'm just asking because I'm in the "why the f*ck not" mood

I just did this about an hour ago, I did all the above except when I went to unplug the connector in the rear quarter panel there was no sign of any wires or connector or that any were ever there, I looked where gotboost's was but there was nothing except the canistor and all the lines, could it be that mine's different since it's a 97 and we all know how odd they are lol. I don't really care since it's done and everythings fine, I already took it for a 20 mile ride and when I went to fill up it didn't have any excess pressure so it's got to be venting.
If they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks they're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box.
