2 Weeks ago I pulled the motor from the silver GTP with the blown head gasket. Sent the heads out and rebuilt her. All new gaskets, new oil pan, water pump, fly wheel, 185 thermostat , and fresh paint.
Anyways, Here is what I am planning.... Tuesday night pull the transmission out of the silver gtp. Wednesday night pull the motor and tranny out of my black GTP. and Saturday and Sunday put the freshly built motor and good working tranny into the black one.
My question is.. whats the fastest/ most logical way to pull both motor and tranny from the black one and put back the other pair? Will motor and tranny come up and out without separating?! Should I drop the sub frame and go down? Should I pull them separately? The catch is I have to roll the car outside after pulling the motor and tranny so if I remove the subframe I would have to put it back with no motor/tranny on it until sat or sun to finish up... so with that in mind what is my best way to tackle this?
I got headers and mufflers coming next week and some other stuff.. will post some pics soon.... but here is a sneak peek at the motor... (Don't mind the supercharger.. it will be swapped with the one on the black car now... 3.4 pulley and ported so yea... it will get painted black and blue before installed....)
