i would say MAF sensor or CPS...try unplugging the mass air flow sensor and see if the car still dies.
i tried unplugging the maf whats the cps?
crank position sensor, which i believe is slowly going out on my car as well. it will stall at traffic lights with no warning or dummy lights randomly. but its done it 3 times and hasnt done it since (knock on wood)
where is it at like what side
it was changed about a year or so ago and it has pressure i think cause i can rev it up and stuff
its behind the harmonic balancer, not the easiest to get to... heres the cps writeup
http://www.grandprixforums.net/cps.php
i cant even drive it i can start it and rev it but if i try and let it idle it dies and when i am reving it it dies sometimes
That just happened to me and it was the Fuel Pump....Does it sputter or cut out when you rev it above 2500??
ok ill have to look at the vac lines. no it does not sputter above that i had to replace the fuel pump like a year ago
how many times have u tried cranking it? does it actually stay running for 10 seconds at a time each time u start it? swap fuel pump relay around too.... i forget which one it is under fuse box but they are labeled on fuse box cover, theres one or two relays that are the same as the fuel pump relay .
or bypass the fuel pump resistor and see if that helps
well i put different relays in it and it still does the same thing. and it only runs for 5sec if u just try and let it idle but if i rev it up and can keep it running for longer
Hey, I just went through the exact same thing. Its an easy fix and free. Pull out the pass side headlight assy, behind it on the fenderwell is a plug. Its your fuel pump resistor. Unplug it and put a paper clip or wire into the female end, and loop it into the other side of that same plug. It should start and stay running. Its a temp fix but you'll be able to drive. Get a new resistor
where do i get a new resistor at
