Mine is Wizaired Cold air Intake.

if the engine was just idling, there may not be any damage, just pull plugs and crank over to spit out water. if engine was at higher rpm, likely bent a rod or something. I have heard of the n/a 3800's suck coolant when the egr port melts around the intake, sometimes they will bend a rod and cause a misfire at idle, will often run fine off idle- rod just bends enough that the cylinder does not contribute enough- flags as a misfire. if replacing an intake melted around the egr port you should do a compression test first- cover you own ass.
The Insurance is paying the dealership to Tear it down to see if this engine can be saved. But I'm leaning toward a new engine.
Insurance gives me like 4grand.
Ill pay the rest
Your getting 4 grand for a motor in a car that isn't even WORTH 4 grand to an insurance company? I find that hard to believe. Oh well, nice Miata you have there.
Yeah what blue said...unless you have crazy low miles I doubt the entire car is worth much more than 3k.
