I cut off my exhaust-side EGR flange and placed a penny against the EGR hole in the headers, RTVed the crap out of it with copper rtv, and tightened the egr flange down over it. I then took the now-exposed EGR tube and put a small filter on it and zip tied it to the EGR shield.
This prevents any SES lights from getting set. I have a Powrtuner now, so I might remove it later, but I've been lazy and left it there. You can see it in this pic next to the EGR and master cylinder res.
