So i got the car done. Noise i was hearing at 2000-3000 rpm is gone. now that the xpz is out that is. i think the problem was the length rods i was running. but idk though i could be wrong as im not a professional(yet). hell it could even been the massive exhaust leaks i was having. Now fixed. The ZZP Headers i have had to be modified. Read my other thread on that. But i have one question. The only thing wrong with my car right now is a vacuum leak because my LTFT at idle shows 16.4. Now i can hear a wistling right by the snout. I previously took the ic apart. I resealed it after clean. Could it possibly be leaking from there? i didnt cake the whole surface with rtv when resealing instead i used a thin coat besides in the 2 bores on the plates for the inlet/outlet of HE i used quite a bit. Should i used a little more to where it squeezes out when the plates are tightened? Also, im using the silicone baking sheet idea as my gaskets. They are cut accordingly for everything.

i would guess that the intercooler is the vacuum leak as well. i never did like the idea of introducing another couple places for leaks into the system.

on my aeroforce. it shows like 8.2, 9.4 but not 16.4 this morning. took it for a drive and right when i let off the throtle the trims shoot to 16.4. could an exhaust leak also cause a 16.4 LTFT?

its idling at 1000 RPMs. I cant get the powrtuner that i just got to recognize the interface for first run registration or something like that. im just reading these parameters off my aeroforces for now. Could it be just that my fuel trims are resetting themselves possibly? The car doesnt seem to run rough. A few quick taps on the throttle at idle and its like it skips if that makes sense. my o2 is bouncing up and down between 55 and 875. my map inHg/psi is round the -13's. and when the oil cap is removed it sucks my hand

Sounds like you have a restricted pcv inlet because it should not suck your hand.

that would be a much better option than running a breather.

i think i found the leak. last night i was sprayin carb cleaner around and sprayed right at the inlet/outlet of the ic core. sprayed it like 7 times and idle changed everytime and the whistling at idle went away for a split second everytime i sprayed it as well

Um, no. Unmetered air is a bad thing.

How did you plumb up the inlet on the PCV? The Gen V requires you to do it yourself, as it's routed completely differently than the Gen III.

GenV's are easy to plumb, they give you that fitting on the back side of the case, and you plumb that into the intake tube after the MAF, and before the TB.

If your talking about modifying the stock PCV system, that's a whole nether ball game.

I know it's not hard, I was just wondering how he had it set up since it's obviously blocked.

Since you mentioned that you used silicone baking sheets as a gasket where did you buy yours from ? I've been meaning to get one and use it for tb gaskets for my Meth install.
