Tried a search but didn't pull up anything useful.

Anyways does anyone know the resonator length and the stock tubing size I need to be able to slip a new resonator and tubing on in place?

i believe the pipe is 2 1/2, then after the y-pipe to the mufflers it drops to 2 1/4.

maybe I am a little slow, but I have a 98 Grand Prix GTP 4 Door, If the resonator is 30 inches long how does a 27 or 25 inch one work? Sorry I am trying to replace my resonator with a exhaust pipe and I need to find out the right size to get and how to replace it. The guy at the parts store did not seam to know what he was talking about. Any information helps. Thanks

Just go to your local auto parts store again and ask for a 24, 26, or 28" glasspack. If they don't know what you are talking about then they need to be fired and be replaced by Mexicans.

They'd probably get what you need + some stickers you didn't want for your car...and you wouldn't even have to ask them...in english that is.

ok, but how does any of those sizes work when you need a pipe 30 inches though. I am missing something here. Unless I am using connectors that make up the rest of the length.

you might very well need a new flange so asking for a new resonator would work.

It'd bolt up to your downpipe and slip over your stock piping.

Because when you take it to an exhaust shop they just weld it in.

You don't NEED something specific length.

I was going to just install it myself. I was not going to have it welded in
