If you beat on a blown car, turbo car...or even a modded N/A car...there is always a chance it'll break. Hell what do you tell the stupid GT guys with a downpipe, cold air, and a tune making MAYBE 190 FWHP that toast trannys? It doesn't matter...it can happen to anyone at anytime...sh!t...I had countless 1.8 60's with COBRA slicks (275's) on the stock trans...and I didn't even have it serviced and it lasted...I just happened to have money at one point and bought a Triple Edge Transmission since I know I was going to go pretty far with the car that way I wouldn't have to worry about it later. If I have to do it all over again...transmission is the first thing I would buy...that way I wouldn't have to worry about throwing whatever sort of power at it.
