Im curious if you found a way to use this for LQ4 MAF users since the wiring harness sold with N*/LQ4 kits use the IAT plug since the LQ4 has its own IAT.

I've looked into the LQ4 MAF, and yes I can modify the sensor in the same way. Only drawback is since it's pressed into the housing, it only comes as part of the MAF itself...so I'll have to find the LQ4 and modify it then ship it with the sensor. Only reason in doing this is because the thermistor is very delicate, and I don't think it would survive shipping by itself.

Have you tested the LQ4 IAT?? Im not doing this to be a bag of douche, but I only ask cause I was able to tell right away the LQ4 IAT was quite a bit faster then the stock. Not as fast as the modded one I think but would be nice to see a difference.

No, I haven't tested it. I may be able to get hold of one just for testing sake, but it would basically be one of mine in the regular housing vs an LQ4.

Is there a ready made speedy IAT that I can mount in my LIM for real time temps, the old 90's TBI sensor is likely one of the slow ones right?

was looking to install one in the LIM today and fell up this thread, read most of it but maybe I missed it. from what I understand there isn't one for this application with decent response time.

What did intense use in the LIM that he did with temp sensors, remember a pic with a thin whip/wire sensor like R&D testing would use.
