    Okay, I have asked some guys on here threw yahoo messenger and we can't seem to come up with anything so I will ask the whole forum. As some of you may know about two months ago my engine got water in it and a family friend took it apart and got it running again and installed my heads and IC from zzp. The guy who tuned my car is a family friend as well and I was running 12psi with 0 knock. He didn't have time to try to up the boost so I told him that was fine for now and I would just drive it like it is. Well the car has ran fine! I havent had any problems what so ever! On Tuesday I drove the car for about 2-3hours on and off running around paying bills. I got home let the car set then had to take my daughter to the doc. The car sat for about 1-2 hours. Well while I was getting on the freeway I of course got into the gas/boost and my car started jerking/sputtering as if I was flooring it then letting out and so on. It freaked me out so I let out and just slowly got up to the speed limit. I would call that "fuel cut". (sorry if my terms are wrong!). Well we came home and then I had to turn around and leave again and this time I didn't take the freeway. So as I was driving I noticed at 35-45mph the wideband was reading 17* of knock I know thats false knock! Well around 65ish it was reading 27*! Also I noticed my trans temp was only reading 52! Well I got to where I was going and the car sat for a good 4 hours. When I came out it was cold so I let the car set to warm it up..The "water" temp was at 160ish and the Trans at 82..IMO thats wrong! When my "water" temp is 160ish my trans is usally in the 100's too. Well when I left I just floored the car and holy hell! I thought it was going to die! It sputter and jerked horrible! So I got home and was of course stumped as to why it was doing it but I never threw a misfire code. To me it seem as if my plugs/wires was bad and of course at WOT your pushing more fuel and in return can cause the plugs to not fire right blah blah. But I never threw a code my wideband showed everything was fine the Aero showed everything was fine and the basic Service engine light never came on. Well yesterday I had to drive the car non stop for about 2hrs and I never got on it. On the way back I had to,to get in and out of traffic and it did it again! This time my xhubby was with me and he said wow you need to change you plugs! And I explained to him they was changed 2months ago and he said well something isnt right. So when I got home I let the car cool off and then removed my plugs...to fine that 2 outta 6 was BURNT the tips was HORRIBLE! And the other 2 looked as if they was burnt and bent! Later talking to some people they said the burnt bent one could mean something to do with my pistons. After seeing my plugs im very surprised my car even started! The big problems im running into is the fact apperently my car was running VERY lean but nothing picked it up.Also how can a car go from running perfect and in a day go to crap?! Now here is something that hit me last night..My crazy xbf just graduated WyoTech and knows the 3.8 inside and out...Monday he called me saying I owed him money for stuff he bought me while we was together and everything and we had a fight..well I ALWAYS lock my car and I did notice Tuesday morning my car was unlock. I know for a fact his mothers 06 GP Key can unlock my car. Maybe im just reading to much into it but it just kinda stumps me as to why none of my gauges picked up on me running lean or getting misfires and so on. Im sorry this turned into a damn essay but I was just trying to cover everything. I don't really know where to start as to try to find the problem. Also I was wondering if there is anyway a tuner can pick up on the last time the PCM was messed with.

    stupid Question do you have a stock pcm or tuner to reflash the current pcm
    I dont know if t will tell you if it was messed with (i assume it can tell you it has to have a log of somekind) if you have a tuner or a stock pcm you could reflash or install the stocker

    Sounds like all hell broke loose in that engine

    ANd ur ex sounds like a real douche

    if you had bent plugs then more then likely your pistons are chipped or something got in there i would also do a compression test to see what psi's look like
    burnt plugs mean it got real lean and real hot

    This could be a simple vacuum hose. Typically they won't show up as a code etc until it's a huge leak. I agree with Wicked about the plugs. it's not good.

    Being at 17 AFR when coasting is completely normal. When you are on the throttle, that's when it would be bad.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    damn, i hate to hear this...i would have to suspect the dip**** ex bf. too coincidental. good luck with this, but its sounds fubarred.

    27* of KR is literally impossible to create. KR doesnt even go that high.

    ^^Thats what I said...14* is the max from what I remember. I still say get some pics of the plugs...sounds to me like something internal went bye bye...maybe someone just couldn't put an engine together right?

    Well the car ran fine beside when it wasent tune and I drove it some and I was getting around 4* and I only drove it like two times before I got the tune. I havent had ANY problem with the car. I drove the car Monday and got on it atleast twice cause I took the freeway..and then Tuesday is when it started going to crap! The guy who took my engine apart and put itback together is a close family friend and has been doing engine work for over 30+years I know mistakes happen but im sure he has worked on a thousand or more 3.8s! lol. And as for the guy who did my tune he is well knowen around this area and another close friend. I don't feel as if it was there fault. Looking at the plugs I was running very lean! I know that for a fact...but what I don't understand is why nothing alerted me about it. My wideband should have..you would think the way the car was jerking and sputtering my "dummy" light would have came on. But nothing happend..Also I took one of the plugs to my dad last night and showed him and his words was "Your Fu**ed". And then of course I got the 3rd degree about spending money and modding a DD...anyways..IDK..This sucks

    I got the car up and on jack stands and honestly IDK what is wrong! My oil filter is bent to hell as if someone put pliers around it and try to squeeze it off.I really believe someone has messed with my car. I have my 07PCM, a stock 04PCM and the one that is on it is tuned. I don't have a tuner and the guy who does tune my car don't know when he will have time. A close friend said he would come over and try to help me do what he could but he is a DSM/Honda guy! How much compression is normal or so on? I have never done one before. Also I know the KR I was getting was beyond false! Im just stumped as to why none of my gauges alerted me...

    compression should be in the 150 range and any more then lets say 15-20 psi difference and you have problems and aslong as your friend has done a compession test before he can do it
    As for the filter no telling who did your last oil change im assuming its when you had the ic and heads done...

    Ya he said he has did one before. And ya Brooks did my oil,tranny,plugs/wires all of that when he had my car about 2 months ago.

    Crushed is not what this filter is. Part of the paper on both sides is missing as if someone used plires to pinch it shut. Also my MAF has been messed with and Zac noticed that my powersteering resivor has little pin holes all in it. Also my oil drain plug is like gone? Like there is no way to remove it now. Brooks is on his way up here along with the police.

    I would...that's such a dick move to f*ck with someones car...if your going to confront them...just do it face to face...don't be a woman and damage the property...and if they did it to you, take it to the cops. Also, that is why fluids is the last thing I do...going S/C oil, to engine oil, to the coolant.

    As for the car...sorry Jess, sounds like you got hosed.

    Well my buddy just removed 2 lug nuts from the rear driver side that was barley hanging on and 2 from the front passenger side....yaaa im ready to go kill him right now! The cops are here so is Brooks. He is going to take the car back to his shop and let me use his lift and all his stuff I will let you guys know what I find and try to get some pics up.

    With all that going on, who knows what got done to the car.

    But when you had the engine apart 2 months ago, the engine wasn't removed, was it? It was just taken apart. Or did they put in a whole nother short block? I can't remember.

    dont let the redheaded temper control what happens next... i had a gf when i lived in texas slash all 4 tires cover the car in some kind of mineral spirits that ate the paint and break a water line in my garage just cause i didnt call her when i was working a double (she had trust issues) Altho she was batsh!t crazy
