Yea I know the tax thing lol, at least its still winter and not the great summertime, thats at least one good thing about it!
Sounds like a deal and if it got to be too big of a problem truck just scrap it
i AM NEW HERE TODAY, HELLO EVERY1, since the knock is not erratic, I would check for a bent posh rod, sounds like you floated the valvetrain, bent a valve, (hence, the dead cyl.) and/or bent a push rod, there could be piston damage, but I have survived this B4 with just upper end damage, good luck,
Offer $500... then take it.
^^X2
well theyre knockin 200 off already, just looked at car-parts.com and for L67's with similar mileage they are asking almost 2 times the price i can get it for. ive searched and searched for engines and this is teh best price i can find. and wont have to pay shipping. Noobish question, i cant remember... are there any issues with a 97 goin to 2002?
800 for an L32 would be a deal, not an L67...
The question is, how does it run?
gtpinsc, did u even pulled the spark plugs to see if any of them were smashed? i skimmed over the 4 pages of your replies but did not see you mention anything about checking if the plugs were smashed?
If anything I'd find an L36 block and top swap then drop in.
Make sure you get headers to go with it though.
high comp + gen V + big cam + heads "nice"?
No halfass build lol. Doing it the right way is a good thing.
