    should be a fun build none the less. like the mess of words that have been stated theres more proven cams then the thrasher cam.

    Mike all race ya but i need to stop dickin around with stuff and get this thing where i want it. still learning on the tuning part.
    99 Grand Prix old build- CAI, Custom exhaust, HV3, Stage 2 TB, custom tune, ported heads intense s1x cam, headers.
    Nothing great Just a small T66 Turbo with a Hv3 On a stock tranny untill i finish the other one.

    Well a little update, got the cam and shortblock sitting in my garage. Hopefully going to order a timing set and gasket kit this week and get the bottom end ready to go.

    01gtp..I see that you are going to run e-85. I was wondering if anyone else is already running it. If the Octaine is higher, what is all required to make the switch to e-85?

    Fosho is running it. The octane is 100+, you need big injectors and possibly a better fuel pump and most important a good tune. Also you will have to change out your fuel filter a few times because it will clean out the tank.

    Well I ordered some parts tonight.
    130# springs with modded retainers
    Rollmaster double roller (need to machine the crank gear)
    gasket kit
    flex bolts
    cam bolt
    crank bolt
    another supercharger my coating is allmost gone I was only seeing about 8 psi on a 3.2
    I plan on getting the engine together in the next couple weeks and getting it in. By then I will have the cash for 65# injectors, fuel pump rewire, new headlights lol. (sold my stockers to my cousin cheap tired of seeing him drive a baby around with one headlight missing.) It should be done before spring break, unless I need to get something for another vehicle in the mean time. When I am done with this I am going to get my truck in the garage and get that going finally.

    just wondering why your going to machine the crank gear when the rollmasters are revised for that issue.
    ZZP 10.4mm's, ZZP S2 IC, 3.4, 3.0, Ported Gen V, ZZP Headers, ZZP CNC Heads, ZZP 78mm TB, ZZP Aluminum Valve Covers, Meziere Electric WP, ZZP Fuel Pump, ZZP Fuel Logs, 65 Mototrons, 3.29's, 2500 Stall. Tuned by GLANZERGTX and Kyle. E85 Converted, 21* Timing

    Would you take the chances even if they say they are revised? Negative ghost rider. I had mine machined anyways for that reason...that's like the White Star Line saying the Titanic would never sink and look how many people died...I'll save my motor and be safe though.

    There are still a lot of motors running rollmaster's for years with no problems, but I would get in touch with Farnsworth about the machining, he should have a thread here about what exactly needs to be done.

    I would rather not take chances and just have it machined so it will work right. Anyone know how much needs to be machined off the oil pump cover?

    you dont need to machine the pump cover if the crank gear fits right. machine the crank gear to look exactly like the stock one.

    Thats what I plan on doing, taking the stock one and the rollmaster in and tell them to make the rollmaster look like stock.

    are u doing just the crank gear? doesanything have to be done with the cam sprocket or leave that alone?
