Anyone have tips on how to get better mpg with this engine? I read some stuff on ebay that made my BS! flag shoot up. Mod chips that promise all kinds of crap. Im thinking No way.

Dont drive like an idiot. Slap a filter on your maf sensor. New plugs & wires and a good tune.

here's a little inside tip you won't find anywhere, and i know it helps me since i'm a bit of a lead foot. instead of pushing on the pedal where you normally do, push more towards the top so it springs a bit before it engages, that way even though you're pressing down it's not as much as you would normally.

You are correct; none of the “chips” are any good at all. And since you have an 06, even a PCM tune would be a pain since you would have to swap in a 05 PCM. Which I personally don’t recommend doing. What you can do is replace your spark plugs, I recommend AL606s. Replacing the plugs is probably the only thing that will make a noticeable difference. Cleaning your MAF sensor might help also. And those are the two big “engine” things. The other big thing is keep your tire air pressures at least 30 psi.

Ten years of continuous driving excitement and counting!

Wow that's pretty bad, i get 32 at 65 and 29 at 75 in my 2001 gtp according to the dic which is close.

Do not use cruise control, speed up down hills and use very light throttle up hills.
