Whatever you get, the resonator is one of the most important parts to get in fighting our ****ty sounding exhaust.
Seriously DON'T consider it. If your doing a catback...find a shop that will make one for you for like $300 or something...pick out your own mufflers and tips...and a huge glasspack or keep the stock resonator. That is what I did and I think my car sounds pretty good.
So my best bet is to have a muffler shop make me one, The only reason i want one is the increase the sound, yet not be really annoying. What would you suggest for mufflers and tips? Im def going to get a down pipe to get rid of the U-bend
I personally think the slp mufflers sound too ricey. Ifyou get the gmpp exhaust for the monte's and impala's you can cut the tips a little shorter to make them work with the gp and it sounds nice and rumbly.
i had slp on my car and i loved them then it got ripped off and then i got the zzp cat back and i hate it.
I have an slp catback, i like it, i think its funny. No res.

i talked to the muffler guy today, and i think it's going to be a cat back, 2.5", and flowmasters
Ill tell you exactly what to do with your exhaust. I think most will agree on here.
Headers (not going into what you should choose)
DP (i say 3", not arguing about 3" vs 2.5") With cat.
Stock res (or glass pack).
Stock catback.
If you need mufflers go borla.
If you need a catback go borla also.
Also curious about a shorty DP welded to a stock cat. Would be more difficult then purchasing a dp with a cat on it but as far as i know stock cats are less restrictive then aftermarket ones.
If you want your car to have a honda civic sound then remove your Res if you want it to sound worse get rid of the cat.
If you want it to sound like a V8 (but worse) get flowmasters.
There ARE some weird setups that i have heard that sound ok. ONE had flowmasters and TWO others had no rez or cat but other things factor into it. I have heard PLENTY of setups on our cars with flowmasters and as i have said only ONE sounded ok.
The setup i gave you is the best and safest. and think do you really want to drowned out the sound of your S/C with exhaust?
to each his own, if nothing else, browse youtube and see what you like. obviously take it with a grain of salt as more than a handful of those clips were probably recorded on a cellphone and thus not the best quality, but its something to go by without installing each and every setup on your car to see what they sound like.
