Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
If you wanna rebuild it yourself depends on your confidence and ability. The actual parts to beef it up are about $300 for chain/gears and $425 for the 300m input shaft. Figure in about $350 for rebuild parts. If you did it yourself roughly around $1100. Im not sure what a 3eP tranny goes for with those upgrades.

Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
there is an 11 sec rockered/intercooled car. dont know how much it weighs. but with some good traction, this set up is not possible of 10's???
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
We will just have to see.
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
Theres gotta be other parts like clutches and stuff that make up more of the tranny stuff and on the price u gave as well though.
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
that what i was thinking, but i was then figuring that was in the rebuild cost

who ran 11s? ron vogel didnt hit 11s. he ran a 12.11, but thats as close as he got. to run 11s on rockers you probably need spray or race gas.

Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
i hope u love the surging at stop lights when you get it running! My custom cam is bigger than the stage 3 but a little smaller than the stage 4. Sometimes i wish it wasnt so big because it SUCKS in stop and go traffic

Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
Well thats fine as this will obviously not be a daily driven car anymore.

Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
Thinkin about goin with some JE forged pistons. Dont know which compression ratio to go with. What do u guys think? and also whats the difference between the coated and uncoated?
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
bio will say go with the stock pistions, i myself dont know. but higher compression will net more power, but you might have to turn down the boost some till you get the tune dialed in.
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
For the price I would go stock pistons. You would blow two blocks for the price of the forged
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
haha ya i figured the same that bio would say the same. I dont know its not set in stone, just an idea i was throwin out there to see what u guys think. 01GTP, thats for damn sure. Whether it be goin with coated or uncoated.

-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
he is selling of all that stuff he just bought to go with a turbo setup instead.
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
what lifters should one use if going with a turbo setup? just curious bc when im done with this money pitt of a gtp...i was thinking about turboing the gp gt i have.or should i twin charge the gtp?
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
no reason to go with special lifters, the ls7 lifters (stock replacement) will work fine.
-
Re: Cam, Heads, Etc. Install *Updated with Pics*
He told me he was doing a supercharged setup and then possibly later going turbo.
