Good job dude...looks like-a da sechs
well, i got a few questions for you. whether you can answer them or not is a mystery..
a) why did you choose to run 105s on the intake side when the comp 105s have had a horrific track record of breaking?
b) what is a ZZP fuel pump? why did you not get a racetronix setup from PRJ (arguably the best fuel pump setup out there)?
c) did you buy any other pullies besides a 3.0? i would suggest a 3.2 and 2.8 so you can fine tune your boost and timing to how you like it.
d) are you sure that the timing chain setup is installed correctly? crank pulley seats fully? chain running completely parallel? (i wont even ask about timing because if thats off then i dont know what to tell ya)
e) are those ZZP fuel rails? i also would have gone with PRJ rails instead of those.
thats all i got for now. im not trying to punch holes in your setup, but wondering why you made certain choices.
Blue: What do u mean?
Bio:
a) The 105 springs are on the exhaust side, but they are crows not comps.
b) The ZZP Fuel Pump honestly looks like a Walbro to me. I didnt know the site to PRJ for the racetronix at the time. Guess i can always sell or send it back for refund eh? lol
c) As for the pullies, no i didnt pick up any others besides the 3.0. I have a 3.4 though.
d) Timing is not off. Its properly adjusted. I feel leary about running it because the problems being had with the JP Double Roller.
e) the ZZP rails i have had for awhile now. They havent done me wrong so far. And at the time i didnt wanna pay 499 plus shipping on 3800performance for them.
Dont those logs have the aeromotive fpr anyway?
sounds good. so long as you know what youre doing. just trying to keep up with ya.
good work on the crow cams springs. the walbro should work out fine if its setup right. not sure if those have problems with when you run the talk lower or not. trust yourself with the timing chain, only you can say its right or not.
however, i would suggest picking up another couple pullies.
FoSHO99: Yes the logs do have the aeromotive FPR
Bio: Ill either get a Rollmaster Double or just get the chamfer machined on the JP gear.
I meant it looks like the sex.
Good job.
Oh haha. Thanks Blue. Now what kind of stall TC should i go for with this build? And what other stuff u guys have suggestions on possibly doing?
Like machining the crap to all fit together?
ill get that done sooner or later. my goal is to get this thing running first. Ya i know your gonna say might as well do it now since its apart. But its not mandatory to make the car run.
If you put it together its not coming apart lol oh well its your build!! :)
ok so after trying to set preload and what not. it seems that my pushrods are too short. 7.05s for exhaust and 7.10s for intake. the rocker bolt is snug and them things still twist. they shouldnt be twisting at all.
is that was ZZP recommended?
How about lifter bleed down?
What is lifter bleed down? And what do u mean by recommended? The length o the pushrods u mean? this **** is starting to really get me aggravated. I want the car to be on its wheels here really soon and all these little damn problems keep arising.
youve gotta expect all this stuff when you are going for a big build. and yes, i meant did they recommend those pushrod lengths?
ya those are they lengths they gave me and said if they are too short send them back and we will send u longer or shorter ones which ever the case may be. Ya i know its to be expected it just sucks. im so excited to hear this thing and see it run u know.
i just order a pushrod length tester so i can get the right legth and just tell them these are the lengths i need
Yes the lifters being hydraulic bleed down, and you need to measure it to get it right. The lifter should be roughly riding half way in the bore to allow wear and expansion, to maintain zero lash.
well how do u measure it?
Anybody got a Gen V turndown they would sell me?
