they are all blocked off at the top of the blower with that plate, but that doesnt mean they arent doing anything.

See, this is what happens when you have someone like Parker selling a product he knows nothing about. I informed him several times that pcv function was not available on this core and yet he obviously didnt do his job by informing the customer of that, or even putting it in the details on his website. I dont feel as i am liable for this, as it was brought forth from square 1. The core works fine obviously, he had it hooked up and working no problems. I would love to help him out by sending him a new one, i just dont have the money to be eating an intercooler like that. External pcv's are used on many cars and are not that hard to do at all.
Yes the core does work fine. Theres nothing wrong with it. Just me and my dad talked it over and decided we dont wanna tap into the valve covers to run an external setup thats all. it did show a performance gain on the car so therefore this thing does work. No i wasnt informed about the PCV when i bought it but thats also my fault for not know much about the intercoolers and not asking about it. So i take responsibility for that.
Here's a suggestion. Have bbptech send the core to Douglas since he doesnt want it. Refund bbptech. Douglas will have his intercooler, bbptech will have his money back. You said you are almost finished with Douglas's intercooler so you can ship that one to the next guy in line waiting. Makes sense to me.
mini-please see other thread and PM me as to what to do....
why dont you start a thread about it........
Negative. I did. I also just spoke with him on the phone. He was wanting the PCV not because he did not know there was not going to be one. But his car won't run right with the intercooler on and a breather in the valve cover.
Actually here is the email....
Logan. I just spoke with Colin about the issues he was having with the intercooler. I’ll just tell you exactly what he said.
He said he would like to return the intercooler to you to have the Stock PCV function incorporated into the core he has now or a new core. What ever you can do.
He advised me that installing the intercooler and insuring there were NO vacuum leaks that the car ran roughly. He also ensured that the breather was installed in place of the regular oil cap on the front valve cover.
He said he took the intercooler off, Reinstalled everything and the car ran fine.
It's not that he did not know or I did not tell him. He was simply asking if you could fix it so his car can run right. There may be another issue. I have told Colin that there is no reason the car should run bad if you have an breather in the front valve cover when you are running an intercooler without a PCV function.
Yeah because everyone has a plasma cutter and a welder.
Try this for a cheap fix...it is supposed to be for a Honda, but it should work on any application IMO.

It's pretty simple. You need to run a line from between the MAF sensor and the throttle plate to the front valve cover. There's a brass plug on the bottom of the stock TB, that would be simplest. That takes care of the inlet side. Then you run a line from the rear valve cover, through a PCV valve, to a vacuum source. Make sure the valve is mounted vertically, with the nipple pointing up, of course. That takes care of the outlet. Simple, fully functional external PCV system.
You need both sides only if both passages are blocked. If only one or the other is blocked, you only need that one. If both are blocked, running a breather wouldn't be harmful, but a functioning PCV system would be better.
This is where you're failing. If you see that something is amiss in any type of information to your product, tell the customer along with whoever is dealing your parts. Just putting the blame on Parker here isn't cutting it. Colin's well aware of the PCV not being functional, so help him over come it instead of this pissing match you are in with him. Did you have a chat with Colin about this when YOU designed this bigger core? I would figure that you have instead of just telling TDC that he may not use his factory PCV system.
Be responsible with your products, and if you see a discrepancy in the description, then address the issue before you mail it out. Make sure the guy buying your stuff knows how to avoid the problems that are obviously the result of poor planning and communication.
I honestly would love to see these threads gone, but they won't go away by themselves, the problems need to be fixed and promptly.
