Eaton Fuller makes this stuff in a little bottle that's specially made to fit o-rings into spaces to prevent nicking them...it's got the consistency of honey, but it works very very nice.

It comes in about an 9oz bottle, $20 or so, but a little bit goes a looooooooong way.

OK, here's the deal. I can get the stuff. It comes in an 8oz bottle, cost runs $25 + shipping. If anyone is interested, I can order a case of the stuff if we get enough people.

Scotty, I'd say 3-4 people. It's really no problem to order the stuff anyway, we use it quite a bit here.

Lee, anywhere that you use o-rings. It's really good for the coolant elbows, but anywhere you need to use it that may nick o-rings. A group of guys could buy one bottle, divide it up equally. It's good for a club to have just one, since you don't need very much at all to use.

Ah I understand...it is really good o-ring lube. It must be REALLY slick stuff. Don't let Scotty buy too much or it will wind up in his supercharger.

I use some silicone grease on the o-rings (injectors, coolant elbows, etc).....no problems here.
One of the First: 2008 Liquid Red Pontiac G8 GT (hers)
-Intake, Tune, Magnaflow Exhaust, 40% tint.
    -Next: Rims, lowered?, headers?

One of the Last: 2009.5 Stryker Blue Metallic Pontiac G8 GXP M6 (mine)
    -Intake, Magnaflow Exhaust, 25% tint.
    -Next: Headers and tune.

Exactly....makes the fuel rail go right in, also keeps the o-rings softer for a little longer.

I had no lube so I used a tiny bit of plug boot grease. I ended up going to Pontiac and buying the GM elbows. Decided the extra $ is worth saving the hassle. They came to 16 bucks for the 2 elbows. I bit expensive but after reading all the hassle with the Help section elbows I decided not to chance.

I've never had any issues with the Help section elbows and @ $4, they can't be beat. They look exactly the same as OEM to me......down to the color of the o-rings.

There are differneces in the Help section ones, and thus the problem. Not sure if it's visual, but the chinese ones won't last...according to the Bonne guys.

Seem to have a higher break rate at the elbow versus the ones not made in China. I found this out when doing a bunch of research for the friend at work needing his replaced. Me, I figured, no problem, it's got to be just like a GP. While similar it wasn't the same. Plus his belt needed replacing at the same time. The stinking motor mount goes through the belt. Thus began web searching. Didn't want to got to his house and look more stupid than absolutely necessary.
