Today i went out and bought L76 style valve springs. I need to get new viton seals and modded retainers. Im about to purchase seals and retainers and i just wanted to know if i want modded steel or just steel, they give 2 options and don't really explain why. Thanks in advance

the modded retainers are for use with the lSx style valve springs, so im not sure if you would need them or not...

Modded retainers is to give you extra clearance when running an XP cam on stock heads with beehive springs.

L76 springs are LSx style springs.

I bought just the basic steel for mine. If I had thought about it, I probably could've gotten L76 retainers from the dealer for cheaper. Are you going cam'd on L76 springs?

I was going to go cam but, after I added the total $$ it was to much right now, and i feel im not ready to do that kind of install yet, seems way to involved. I decided to go with the yella terra 1.9's from intense, for now. I saw you mentioned that the L76's work well on your setup, on your other post, so i was gonna give it a shot

I was guessing that it was only a matter of "wear preference" between the modded steel and steel option.

If you are buying from Intense anyway then get the Manley retainers.
