Check out the threads...it is a very widely asked question...
180*/160* T-Stat
Colder Plugs
Intake of some sort
3" Downpipe
U-Bend Delete
PCM Tune (3800performance, Intense Racing, or Overkill)
Then possibly drop to a 3.5" or 3.4" pulley on the supercharger
doesn't the gtx already have a 3.5"?
I would not even know...I just got this car, I have a 95 TA that I spend most of my time and money on and I am very familiar with her, but the GTX is a little foreign to me as I never had a supercharged car...I know engines are engines and intakes, headers, all that does the same thing but the pulley, downpipe all that, ubend thing is all new too me![]()
As far as the intake...it has a fuction ram air...I looked at it and it is not true as I would have hoped...it has to travel over to the air box through a little hole from the side of the hood, it says it add 5 hp over a standard GTP, but who knows...and U-bend delete...What is that?
there is no such thing as "functional ram air" on our car. make a good intake and ditch the air box that it comes with. even with the air flowing from the hood, you wont get any sort of power out of it.
Yeah those things are EPIC FAIL lol
The GTX only came with the 3.5" if ordered with just like the SLP Tune, SLP 1.8 Roller Rockers, SLP Catback...
Other than that all it had was badges, wheels, SLP Hood, and SLP Intake...
Well...they did conversions on North Carolina I think...you might try finding out what places did what in GM for the Conversions... Not sure...
If you do have a 3.5" then I would say spring for some exhaust mods and let that thing breathe![]()
