Thread: gapping 104's?

indexing plugs means that all the spark plugs are facing the same direction in the cylinder. supposedly facing them in one direction helps the burn efficiency. you do this by putting washers around the plug threads to that when fully seated they are all in the same direction.

i have never done that. i have never side cuy my plugs either. i just dont feel that the time taken to do it is worth the effect. like i said before, this is not a race car with a race engine so why does it make a difference if you have 'special' spark plugs or not? no one with a grand prix really even runs enough boost or timing to even be considered extreme.

yeah i guess so. i dont really know what im gonna do yet... i just know when i do mine im gonna get some AL104's about the gapping though ill have to decide what i wanna do

Most people who reduce the gap of their plugs down will notice an increase in power! .050 is recommended for all copper plugs or .055" for iridium plugs in most L67/L32 applications.
