Damn Reptile, those headers sure are purdy! Makes me want to go polish mine up a bit.

One of the problems that people have with TOG's is that during a batch (the first batch under the new ownership i believe) the flange on the rear header that connects to the crossover can be a little bit awkward. I had some issues with that, as did the guy that I bought my TOG's from.
    Here's one guy's solution.....
I'm told that TOG updated the design and all of the recent batches have been perfectly fine.

Also - I know that alot of people have issues with the trans dipstick, but for those of you with the '04-'05 Monte Carlo and Impala SS's, I think they updated the dipstick style for the L67 for those years and it fits just fine. I didn't have to bend mine and it isn't touching anything (or even close to doing so). Other guys with the '04-'05 L67 have said the same thing (most of them had actually bought the pre-bent dipstick tube beforehand and realized it matched theirs exactly)
In fact, I heard a rumor that the "pre-bent" dipstick tube that some vendors sell is actually an OEM part that came exactly that way.

It's the same shape on the 04-05 Impala/Monte L36s as it is on the 04-05 Impala/Monte L67s. So that should open the door for someone wanting to hit up a junkyard for one...

check out the flanges. if the owner before you tightened the headers down too much the flanges will end up 'ovaling' out instead of being circular. this will make it harder to seal them unless you can bend them back in a vise or something of the like.

Aside from the flanges, just check to make sure that they're not too dinged up or bent. Big dents and whatnot can really affect flow.

The only thing that I would have changed about the TOG's (which is actually an easy fix) is to weld the bolts into the rear crossover so that they are more like studs. They can be a pain in the ass to tighten even with two people.
