it really depends how much work you want to do installing them. the cheap ones are hard to install while the expensive ("best") ones are easier to install. they all perform pretty much the same, regardless of collector size or how they are put together.

if i were to rate headers from best to worst i would do this:

ZZP > S&S > TOGs > SLP > Pacesetters > all the other cheap ebay ones..

After hearing of some of the install issues, i'd rate TOGs above ZZP, definatly above S&S.

My TOGs has 0 install issues. It bolted in and sealed the first time. I didn't have to dick with starter wires, PS lines, nothing at all. I did have to figure out how to redo the trans dipstick, otherwise it was the best header install i've ever experianced on any vehicle. TOGs FTW and many who own them will agree.

Back on topic, if I were you and assuming you're on a budget, i'd get the S&S unless you can score some good used TOGs

About $750.00 + Shipping... heres a link... The Other Guys Exhaust Headers: 3800 Performance There pricey but very nice and have been proven for many years. These were around be for all the others and used to cost way more.

S&S is still a good option and cheaper if you're looking to save some money. I forget exactly how much they are though.

Pacesetters can be had for $400+ but you have to deal with leaky slip fit joints. If you can weld, these would be perfect for you...

Don't have to weld. SDD's install kit is supposed to fix the issues.

I heard about it, I believe ZZP was offering something similar people still had issues. I think to eliminate a majority of the issues, you need to weld up a couple of the joints, but thats my opinion.

If I were to do Pacesetters on my own car I'd do what "Janice" did on ClubGP, weld the Y up to the rear header along with the crossever and drop it in from the top as one unit. He made a video of it, works good. Unless you or a friend can weld it up in your garage, this won't be an easy option for you...

If you want some decent cheap headers just get some SSAC headers, they're stainless steel SLP knockoffs for a lot less. Or if you can find some nice used headers in the for sale section for cheap go that route, just try to avoid pacesetters and OBX's unless you know how to weld.

if you find a set of used TOGs make sure to check out the flanges. if they are no longer round and more oval from the people tightening them down too much then they will be a lot harder to seal. that is the problem i had with mine. i also just dislike the three piece design in general.

anybody know if you have to move the trans dip stick for slp's?

you have to move the trans dipstick for almost all of the headers that are made if not all. its not hard to notch out the mounting bracket and then use a washer or two to make it stay.

Not knocking them but I had a guy here locally that could never get his to seal at all? Is it a common issue Bio?

I know the Pacesetters are about 200 bucks more and they dont have much success sealing either...just wondering

whaaaaat? mine were easy as crap to seal. actually, the other day i found one of the bolts on my crossover completely out and it was still sealed. tightened that up and was good to go.
