Hey guys, just picked up another grand prix. It's a 1998 Silvermist GTP coupe with 15,000 miles. Was an old lady's car, this thing is a time machine. I'll be taking it to the track stock in a few weeks for a baseline.

I was thinking of a K&N intake flowmaster exhaust and 3.4 pulley. What kind of horsepower and 1/4 times can I be expecting?

flowmasters will drone a lot. i had them and they sucked.

also, youre going to need more than just an intake to run that pulley correctly. you need to read up on a few threads in the forum before you jump into this.

Nice find with 15K for sure!! Pics will be needed

Here is what I said in another thread for performance suggestions:

I'd say Pulley be the last of the Bolt-On mods.

If I could start over I say...

    180*/160* T-Stat
    Autolite 104's
Cold Air Intake/Hot Air Intake/FenderWell Intake
    U-Bend Delete
Downpipe (3") - Bolt-in or Shorty Weld-in...your call the shorty is cheaper since you gotta have it welded in...
Power Log/Headers - I run Pacesetters and I love them
    DHP/Overkill/Powertuned or HP Tuned PCM
THEN...drop to a 3.5"/3.4" and if you want to continue modding a say save money and get a M.P.S. System NOW.

Then it is up to you what you want to do with the car. At this point I would say headers (if you haven't done them yet), Ported TB/Ported Supercharger.

Then you might be able to get away with a 3.3"/3.25" pulley with a custom tune.

After-wards...you can go to either a rockers or a cam. You could install an intercooler in car and get injectors. If you go that far you'll eventually need a transmission.

    Hope this helps ya man.

if i were to mod all over again and i wanted to make a fast car for cheap the first mod i would buy would be a full size intercooler. you can run down to about a 3.0 with just an intercooler, best mod you can buy.
