I drove the Imp to work for the last (2) days, which is expressway driving. With regular spirited driving I don't get any kr, when I put my foot in it I get 1-2* before the tranny shifts. The 3.4 really woke the Imp up, I have an appt. to have the lim done at the stealer. The car will be parkled until that day comes, then I'll do a seafoam clean up and finish installing the other items.

the step from a stock pulley to a 3.5 or 3.4 is crazy. then just think of what a 3.2 or 3.0 would do.

The Imp goes in for the Lim repair tomorrow, gotta love a factory warranty. I hope to get her back by the weekend, so I can install the plog & crossover. I swapped the overkill pcm with the factory, so I don't get a surprise flash update and ruin my overkill. I always do my own work, this is the first time in 20yrs that I let someone else work on my car. I'm going to miss her it's going to be a sad day for me.

Good info guys. I just bought a 3.4 for my 99 GTP and wondered if it will make much of a difference. I have a DHP PCM from PFYC. I'm gonna get a tune after it is installed but will have to drive it a bit first.
I have a wizaired CAI, Borla Exhaust, U bend delete, and Will be installing SLP headers next month. I can't wait!

Don't forget your colder plugs and 180 t-stat if it hasn't been done already.

Yeah I bought colder plugs and a T-Stat. I already have fuel rails and 42.5lb injectors so fuel delivery is no issue. This summer is a stage 3 IC, port the S/C and then may need a Tranny LMAO.
I got tired of all show and no go. Time to make this thing scoot!

I got the Imp fixed, I'm back in business. I spoke to the mechanic and he said it wasn't bad he seen worst. The oil was just seeping on the outside, no internal breach of the gasket. The Lim, valve covers, coolant and oil was replaced. Here are the part #'s from the receipt for those interested. 89017825 gasket kit, 24503937 valve cover gasket, 12346290 coolant, 12378521 sealant, premium oil, 12490147 filter.

I changed the plugs to AL 104's, the install wasn't bad I had minor difficulties with removing the heat shields though. I didn't reuse them or tilt the engine forward, having the right tools = priceless. The next change will be cake without the h/s, I reused the stock wires for now. I also changed the S/C oil and replaced the cruise control buttons the lettering was coming off.

Btw, the plugs that were removed were AC Delco Iridium #12568387 and the gap was a little more than .60
