Just had the dealer do the front valve cover recall to my recently acquired 04 comp g. Now the supercharger belt squeeks loudly. Doesn't do the start-up squeel, just a steady piercing squeek for at least 5-10 minutes before gradually quieting down. The belt is almost new. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like a PCV issue I had. I thought it was the belt too.

The belt looks like it's in place. Just to check, I sprayed the belt with water mist while it was running. The belt went quiet for a couple of minutes until it dried off. I'll check the PCV too this weekend.

Bad new belt or the tensioner is worn out.

The tensioner pulley is removed during the recall i would start there and make sure it was installed and torqued correctly.
